Tensions in the Middle East Are Affecting Air Traffic

✓ Rising tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States have begun to disrupt international air travel. Due to developments in the region, many Europe-based airlines have canceled flights on Middle East routes today and tomorrow.

✓ Air France canceled two scheduled flights to Dubai, while British Airways also suspended its planned evening service to Dubai. Dutch carrier KLM canceled its flights to Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. KLM additionally stated that its overnight Tel Aviv flights scheduled for today and tomorrow were unexpectedly canceled, and that there is currently no clear explanation for the reason behind these cancellations.

✓ On the Lufthansa side, it was announced that reciprocal flights between Ben Gurion Airport and Frankfurt have been canceled for tomorrow. Israeli outlet N12 also reported that Air France has suspended its Tel Aviv flights.

✓ Meanwhile, according to Kann News, U.S. Central Command Commander General Brad Cooper is expected to arrive in Israel tomorrow to meet with senior Israeli officials. Channel 12 reports that Israel believes the U.S. is evaluating the possibility of a military operation against Iran and that military preparations could be completed within a few days.
